A friend of mine sent me a preview of the movie: "A Tale of Mari and Three Puppies", it is now showing in some parts of the country and the DVD will be coming out later this year.
It is based on a true story about a Shiba Inu and her three puppies survived the 2004 earthquake in Yamakoshi Village, Japan.
For those of you who don't want to watch the movie and just want to read it, click on this link (Spoiler Alert)
It's not really a "dog" movie but it does have a gorgeous corgi in it. It was a TV movie made about ten years ago-- it was called "Murder, She Purred" and it starred Ricki Lake. I taped it for my students (I was a teacher then) and they LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it.
as for that movie-- that looks wonderful!!! I will have to check it out.
My students have always loved the Iron Will movies (huskies in it..)
Benji was my favortie dog movie as a kid. I have never heard of "Where the Red Fern Grows" but from the preview here it looks like a great family movie. I will have to see if I can find it and watch it with my family. They would love it too, I'm sure. Eight Below was a great movie as well and also enjoy 101 Dalmations....animated version.
