Found this little guy while browsing Petfinder. The picture is horrible. But he looks like he might be a purebred pembroke from what I can see.

According to the listing, he's currently at the Kern County shelter. Hopefully someone can give him a home before they put him down...

he was actually posted on a corgi rescue site I'm a member of and one of the other members checked in on him. I can't take credit lol :-P Although I was going to call because I was very interested in adopting him myself, but no such luck. Corgis generally dont' last long in shelters in California (which is great for them but makes my task of finding an adult tri-color much harder).
so does this not look like the EXACT same dog?

its in bakersfield too and has the same white patch on its nose, around the same age as well. Why would a shelter let a rescue pull a dog that has 6 applications? I'm confused now. The rescue wants a $375 adoption fee
That does look kinda like him... Then again the shelter picture was so horrible that it's hard to tell. How odd. Well I'm glad at least that he has a home, even if it's temporary. I'm not too familiar with rescues, but that does seem kinda high for an adoption fee...
By the way, most of the corgis I've found on petfinder are older and tri, actually. Just they're not usually in California... I don't know how old you want yours to be, but at least I don't think it's completely impossible. On the other hand it seem to me that red and whites are harder to find... at least when I've looked anyway.
How funny. I ALWAYS find red and whites and have a hard time finding tris! We will have to search for each other lol. There is an adorable red and white in a rescue by me right now actually. I am looking for anywhere between fully vaccinated puppy (16ish weeks) to 5 years. It needs to be young enough to keep up with Franklin but old enough that I can safely take it out on walks with me. This little guy in Bakersfield seems perfect! I applied for him and will be meeting him sometime next weekend. I still get very frustrated at the rescue for pulling a dog that was safe (I asked if it was the same dog) and then more than quadrupling the adoption fee. Looking at their list of adoptables they are clearly just out to make a quick buck because they are all highly sought after breeds and mostly young/puppies. They aren't pulling the at-risk dogs, but rather dogs that will go quickly for A LOT of money (they charge up to $450 for some of the rescues). I can't pass this guy up though, I've been searching so long, Look at this face!
Haha maybe we will have to search for each other. But hopefully you'll get this guy so you won't have to look anymore! Unfortunately Sacramento is a little far for me to travel right now. :\ It's pretty horrible that "rescues" would do that... But I guess if the dogs find a home in the end... Well anyway, good luck next weekend!
