Well, it sounds like they are doing fairly well. My dogs had been eating on either side of the water bowl. Recently, I decided to start giving them fish oil and Randy is getting some vit. E and Reese thought he had more than she did and she attacked him so they are now separated. She is a rescue and had been real sick when I got here and I think the other dogs were getting her food at the facility because she didn't feel good. Now, she is obsessed with food and I have to be careful with her. I wish you luck. I think it is so nice that you got one from/through rescue and I am glad he was saved.
So far, they are mainly getting along well. They get along great on walks, especially. Inside, Stella grumbles at Stan sometimes and we still have to work out food and treats (we're feeding them separately). Stanley doesn't seem to have a lot of trauma being separated from his family. He was socialized with a lot of other dogs and people, so he's really friendly. His manners aren't as good as Stella's (he jumps on things and was clearly given scraps and people food), so we're working on that. He listens, though, and like many corgis will do ANYTHING for treats!
Do they get along satisfactorily? I hope they can adjust to each other. Did he have any trauma being separated from his family? They look great together.
Thanks! They aren't siblings. I've had Stella for 4 years--I got her as a puppy. I just got Stanley a week ago. He's a 1-2 year old rescue. It's amazing how much they look alike!
These are pretty dogs. I am not used to seeing such red heads. Are they siblings?
Awwwwwwwww, so cute!
