I have seen an increasing amount of folks posting dogs that are in need of assistance. It is great that you take the time to post it here but it would be great if you would locate the regional rescue in your area. These are the folks that are most able to help these dogs. You may also learn that someone is already working on it. Do know that some rescues work within their state only. Others have regions they cover. Some will transport dogs from quite a distance. Some groups work with corgis and corgi mixes, others such as Sunshine work with purebreds only. Many ask the reason why some groups deal only in purebreds so I will answer that question. Rescues are generally a non-profit organization. They are staffed with volunteers who open their heart, their home and often their pocketbooks when they take in dogs. They have very limited financial availability. Rescues have to pay vet bills on the dogs they receive which you all know is cost intensive. Know too we can only take in dogs when we have open foster homes for them to stay. Rescue is bittersweet. Most dogs go on to wonderful new homes and live happy lives. A small few are not as lucky due to severe behavior problems or medical conditions that are unable to be treated. We have several folks that keep me updated as to corgis in need. Perhaps you can do this in your area.

2 corgis needing homes from craigslist Bay area, CA
Hello! I found 2 craigslist postings last night and this afternoon, one is from san jose and one is from santa rosa. I am not sure what the owner meant by the rehoming fee. I am assuming it's for the shots and other medical check ups they paid for.

2nd posting:

I need to re-home my 2 1/2 year old female tri-corgi to approved home. She is very active and loves to play fetch and games. she doesn't get along with my other female dog and we are very sad but she deserves better. She is a registered corgi and weighs approx. 18 lbs. She is pretty small. She needs lots of attention and someone who will spend time with her. Adoption Fee: $100

Female, tri color. 6 months old. She has had her shots including her rabies shot. I am sick and cannot take good enough care of her. She gets along really well with other dogs and is eager to please A big plus is that she is almost completelly potty trained. She has an accident once in a while. She has a very sweet personality.

I am asking for a rehoming fee of $375 to cover my vet expenses
She is a purebred and has AKA papers

You would do well to contact the regional rescue group in that area. Typically my experience has been that folks that advertise on Craigs list are interested in "selling" their dog and not surrendering them. Generally rescues do not "purchase" dogs for rescue. There are so many in shelters and folks surrendering them that financially this is not generally possible.
