on how to teach my 13 week old Corgi to stop biting and barking? He is starting to get, "No Bark!" but the biting thing is a little tougher do to his teething. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

My dog didn't bite much, but when she did, we used bitter apples (spray) on furnitures, and she stopped. When she was biting hands, we told her "no", and replaced hand with a toy, then when she bit the toys, we immediately praised her. As for the barking, we tried "no" along with vinegar spray (very little vinegar) in the beginning. It was effective, but she smelled like vinegar after we sprayed her, so we switched to "can method". You just put some coins in any empty soda can, tape close the top, and whenever the dog does bad things, say "no" and shake the can. They don't like the sound of it... Remember, timing is very crucial in training. Don't forget to praise after your doggy stop the bad behavior! :) Good luck!
Thank you for your input. I have pretty much been doing exactly that but he is a stubborn little guy. I haven't tried the vinegar method so maybe I'll give that a try. Thanks again.
For barking, its really hard since they're really good guard dogs. But I taught Rang how to speak first, and then when he barks/speaks when he's not supposed to, I tell him, "NO SPEAK!" He also knows "NO!" and when he starts growling when he hears something, I just tell him, "NO!" and he gets the idea and just does this "Uff!" but it's like not a bark. LOL!! Getting their attention is definitely a solution, but don't use treats!! My friend did that to her dog and it backed fired. You should never reward things you don't like them doing. Biting was hard!! No matter how many toys, bones, we gave him he would bite everything, especially soft things or wood things!! He finally got over it after he was 7-9 months old. We did this "Time out" thing when he did things bad and he got the idea after. Now he just de-squeaks or take stuffing out of his own toys. LOL!! It's like his mission in life!!
Part of the biting could be teething behavior as well. My little gal Molly was really, really mouthy and when she would bite I would tell her Molly kisses are the best to get her to try kissing instead. Also, bitter apple worked wonders plus after she got her adult teeth in the mouthiness stopped.
CHEW toys! Corgis love to chew. Our puppy loved hooves. Corgis are so smart they'll get No biting soon. They just need toys to chew on when they are alone.
