raw dog food? like steak and some veggies? all raw? is that what you mean?
I suggest a commercial raw diet that is balanced. I suggest Nature's Variety. I would not try to make my own as you want to be sure it's balanced. Also I do not feed turkey or chicken raw as they are more likely to have more bacteria.
I would use caution with the RAW diet, it can lead to digestive health issue and if your are not supplement all they're required vitamins and nutrients they can develop metabolic illnesses. I would discuss the details of your pets diet with your regular veterinarian
My dogs get a balanced raw commerical diet...my dogs digestion health has improved since i have been feeding raw. I do not give them raw bones rather they are ground in their food. Their skin and coat problems cleared up and their energy is high which is great considering they are senior dogs.....I suggest you give it a try. I would not feed turkey or chicken raw as dogs have more problems with those meats.
Use the Furminator comb. I use it and then give her a bath and it helps a lot. I do it once a week or every 5 or 6 days, depending on how bad the shedding is...
Definitely agree with Maryanne about the diet - we're not totally raw, but we are totally zero grain.

For shedding I find using a rubber curry daily (then a brush-out) works great. I only bath when needed, but I do use a conditioner and THAT helps tons. I do my own, 'human' conditioner and I'm going on faith that it's okay for dogs, been doing that for many years.
