Well, Jetti Park (next to cocoa) used to be off-leash. Those are the only places I know of near Orlando. If you come up to Daytona there is one and also from St.Augustine and north past Jacksonville is all off-leash dog friendly.

Yes, Fort DeSoto Park in Pinellas County. It's a absolutely beautiful park for dogs and people too. They have a fenced area for small and large dogs, then a walkway to the beach area when the pups can run and play in the water unleashed. You really should check it out -- just google. There are a number of nice dog parks in the Tampa Bay/St. Pete area. http://www.pinellascounty.org/park/paw_playgrounds.htm

Bonita Beach has an off leash dog park, but that is not very close to Orlando.

Hello - we're down in the Jupiter area - bout 2 hours south of orlando and we are well known for our dog beach! there are many who go off leash, but there are quite a few tourista's here now, with their dogs, so it's best to bring your leashes for your dogs own protection. We've got a gorgeous inlet and a lighthouse!

Unfortunately no dogs are allowed in Brevard County beaches, it's been a 37 year ban :(
