Hey Candy, I have been seeing Mike Thomson, D.V.M., Ph.D. since Mocha was a pup in 2002, he's very gentle, caring and takes his time to talk to me. He's down in Melbourne about 25 miles South of Viera, but ever year I still make the drive just to see him for their annual checkup.

Just this last week, I had to bring my foster dog Emmett to see a vet, since it was semi-urgent, I had to find a vet that was close to me, I went to Viera East Vet Center and Saw Alison Bywater, D.V.M. She was very nice, took her time and talk to me, was very gentle to Emmett and took care of a scrape wound on his scrotum. I really appreciate the staff for squeezing me in the same day, the facility is very nice, they have a lot of new tech equipment. They also offer boarding and rehab that other places don't. I actually will be going back there next friday to discuss possible discount for corgi owners in the space coast area, I'll keep you updated.

As far as boarding facilities go, there is a nice place in palm bay call Paradise Luxury Pet Estate, the place is huge, it's very homelike and security is top notch, the dogs have access to pools, furniture and real people, the only drawback is it's located in palm bay, from my experience, palm bay tend to lose electricity and vulnerable to flood during hurricane. Another place that I would consider is Barkingham palace, the owners have corgis, enough said :) Their facility is way smaller and it's the traditional type with small rooms.

Unfortunately there are NO dog beaches in Brevard, it's been a 27 year banned :( booo.... I have to travel down south to the treasure coast for one.

As far as dog park goes, I've been to Wickham park and is the one that I frequent the most, I've been to the one on satelite beach next to the library, it's a little small, still have not been to lori wilson or the one down in palm bay yet.

Oh by the way, Welcome to the Space coast :)
