San Antonio Corgi Meet-up?

I think it would be fun to meet other corgis in San Antonio. Anyone have any suggestions for places or dates? I'm guessing late April, early May so it gives others time to get it on their calendar and gives time for some, who may not check Mycorgi.com often, to find out about it. I know a few people on here go to McAllister Dog park so maybe that could be a possibility. Also, maybe a certain time of the day on Saturday or Sunday when it is less crowded at the park.

I'm not sure of any places of any other places that can be off-leash.

Just brainstorming some ideas. Any suggestions?

I want us all to get together too, even about 5 is nice, but I don't know about the Park environment. I feel like if there's even one big dog, the pups won't feel like they can run and be themselves without being chased. If someone has a nice, closed off backyard and they're willing to have people over, that might be better? I'd have to ask my husband if it was going to be me ;) I don't know how likely that would be.

Are there rooms you can rent? Some meetups look like they are in buildings designed for dogs and the people just rented the space (looks like an indoor basketball court)

i remember max and his family volunteering their home before. so maybe this could be a go :) you can count us in! ein just loved playing it with max and pooka!!!

i don't remember saying such a thing! lol just kidding Our backyard is barely getting some grass to grow back after winter (if you can call it that) and were supposed to be out of town a few wkds in April. Maybe we can do that if it's just a few of us- I guess we'll play it by ear.

We will probably go to the dog park this Sunday too...I know Kimberly mentioned she was taking her 3 kids. lol

I recently started volunteering at the SPCA, off of Fredericksburg, and when I was leaving one day there was a bunch of Dachshunds in a fenced in area and I asked what was going on and a lady said it was a meet up group. That could be a possibility but I'm not sure if there is a cost.

Hi everyone. I am still hoping to do a corgi "party" at my home on July 19th. Please let me know if you are interested. If I get enough responses than I will post a time and directions. I live on the north side of San Antonio near the Airport and have a large (enough) fenced yard. Please let me know.

Excelent! I can't guarantee a lucious lawn but there will be plenty of room to run and lots of full water bowls. Maybe even a margarita machine and snacks. What time would you all suggest? I am thinking 7-9pm if thats not too late. The yard is shaded completely and the breeze kicks up by then. Let me know.

thanks so much kim! my hubby was just asking if we were gonna get the "kids" together. we're supposed to be having my in-laws in town that weekend but i'm gonna try and sneak ein out so we can come by. i'm sure we'll manage to find some time :)
