Did you know that blue merle cardis eyes glow red?

I've read a couple of articles on this and the red is one way to tell a cryptic blue. Does anyone know if other breeds with the blue merle color are the same?

Here's pix of my two dogs with my GSD's green glowing eyes and Maisy's red glowing.

This isn't limited to blue merles. We had a bulldog-boxer-maybemastiff cross (Taurus was wonderful, he looked like a throwback to a more practical breed) who had English Bulldog caramel-and-white coat, and one blue eye. He always reflected port and starboard.

I think it's a lack of pigment in the blue eye rather than directly associated to the coat gene.

Yes Maui's eyes glow red on one and blue on the other. Frustrates me sometimes cause I always look for that perfect face front pose that is blow-up and frame worthy. Still the shots are cute, but the red eye reduction on the camera does nothing for dogs, or cats for that matter. And I have yet to find "color eye" edit on any photo editor.
