Hi all. Does anyone know of any dog friendly beaches nearest to Central FL? Preferably an off leash beach?

Fleet Peeples Dog Park in Winter Park.. This park has a lake, not a beach, but no leash is required.

Yeah, Stanley loves that park. But we're looking to take a day trip somewhere and was hoping to have Stanley experience the ocean.
Unfortunately no dogs are allowed on the beach in Brevard county, it's been a 27 year ban, gotta go above mims or drive down to the treasure coast. Unless someone's got a private beach? Anyone?
Flagler Beach has a section of beach for dogs. The sign says leash required. But it's still fun. Drive up A1A to Flagler and look for the big white water tower. You will notice the beach signs change from saying "no dogs" to "dogs allowed, follow these rules" . Have Fun!!!

P.S. If you reach the Flagler Pier, you've gone too far north.
Presley and I went 3 times last week to the beach on the river, salt water, at the Coast Guard area of New Smyrna Beach. It is 3.50 to get in and is unbelievable. Leashes are required, but who holds those things when the waves from the boats keep knocking them out of your hands anyway, right?
If you are familiar with New Smyrna Beach - you turn on the road right before Norwood's Restaurant - go until it dead ends and turn right in to the park. There is a designated area for dogs that is amazing and HUGE. Wraps aroung on the shore of the river to the lighthouse. Presley was depressed for 4 days when we came home.

Thanks for asking and answering this question. I was talking with my son yesterday about taking Dixie to the beach and now we have the DL.
