We brought the puppy yesterday from the breeder. The puppy is not eating any thing so far.

Breeder gave us Nutro Max puppy food. We offered her some milk (tiny portion) and she drank it very well.

Can some one give ideas what else we can feed her? she seems to be very active puppy. she is 9 weeks old.

thanks

Is she not eating, or just not eating that particular food? A good resource may be the breeder! There might be something wrong if she's completely not eating anything, but if its just her kibble - it might be due to anxiety in her new home. Maybe she is just not feeling comfortable yet.

congrats on the new pup!
Karen,

thanks for the response Karen.

She started eating this afternoon. I think it was because of stress.

But now, one more problem...she slept all day in the play pen. we have 4 adults (my parents visiting from india) and 1 five year old. she seems to be very playful..but trying to bite any moving objects (legs). we gave lots of chew toys but no use...still biting a lot. my 5 year old is stuck on couch whole day.

she ate well and went poop twice today and 6 to 8 times urinated..
she is a sweet puppy... I hope she sleeps thru the night.

Regards
I’m glad to hear she’s eating! Bailey wasn’t much of a nipper, but I’ve heard that you need to discipline them at a young age, whether its time out (tethered to a door nob) or just screaming in a high pitch and turning your back on him. He should eventually learn that it is an unacceptable behavior. Be consistent, and good luck! … and don’t worry - it’ll get better – I promise!
Thanks a lot folks.
