I am hoping by chance that someone adopted him on here! i went to a dog show at the Midland county horseshoe last year and someone was there with a couple of corgis because they were meeting half way with someone to adopt them. One was a VERY overweight corgi named Tucker. he was hazardous to his health because his owner fed him table scraps and never walked him. I was just wondering if anyone knows of this dog because I want to know how he's doing!

Hi, I'm not sure if it's the right Tucker or not, but on August 22nd, 2009, while in Wichita, Kansas, I had a get together with the coordinator for the local chapter of ForPaws.org, and she had an overweight, older Corgi by the name of Tucker in her home.
He was doing fine, happy, loveable, and ready to go with me when I was leaving. The coordinator and I were standing on the porch talking for a bit, we didn't get the storm door latched real well, and Tucker took himself down the street for a walk. I ended up "coaxing" him back to the house. You're right, he was extremely over weight, but very happy and friendly. That's the only Tucker I've come across recently. The other rescue/adoption groups I work with change names once they're in their safety, so it's going to be difficult to know if this is the same Tucker or not, and will be even more difficult to find out from the others. However, the persons you saw him with may have only been the transports, which is what I do. With so little information to go on, I hope this eases your concerns as the Tucker I met fits the description.
