Hey guys hope you all are keeping the babies cool during our hot spell. My girls are spending a lot of time in front of the fan and in the creek. Or at least on the lawn chair under the umbrella in between splashes

Mine are hiding in air conditioned bliss. I took them for an ice cream cone in the evening yesterday because I felt so bad for them.
Yesterday I filled up the kiddie pool and made Joshua get in it with me. He was not too thrilled and kept trying to figure out how to get out (probably seemed like a big bath), but I managed to keep him in there for quite awhile and got him nice and wet to cool him off. He seemed happiest when I picked him up and let him sit in my lap in the pool...ha ha, it was probably quite a sight! :)

I've also been giving him ice cubes and the other night we gave him a little bit of vanilla ice cream for a cool treat!
Mira still being a puppy was a high stressor for me. Our house is generally about ten degrees
Hotter than outside. (Helps during winter though!) So we were gettin her and Shadow in the
Bathtub a few times per day. Also, had a cool damp rag that I would let her cuddle with.
My bf's brother is in from out of town so today they have company at least!
Moses Lake tends to be hot, really hot, like 100+ degrees in the summer. So we stay indoors through the middle of the day and do stuff before it gets too hot or after it cools down. Ashton loves to swim so he gets time in his little blue pool, the lake or he gets to chase the sprinkler around. Ice cubes, ice cream and frozen goodies in Kongs are always a welcome treat. But our favorite thing to do is head over to the west side of the state where the weather is much cooler and there are these strange tall things... I think you guys call them "trees". They are great for shade! lol
