What about making pillows? I got it! Felt corgi hair felt, then sew a pillow and stuff it with corgi hair! Totally corgi hair pillows! Free pillows! Wahoo!
I wonder if you **can** spin it into yarn to make corgi sweaters... and if it would itch, like wool.
I heard a story on Bob and Tom this morning about a couple that made sweaters out of their dogs hair, and were still wearing them even though the dogs had been dead for about 12 years.(Hearty material!!!) I think you can spin it. You would have to get a spinning wheel. I think you would have to card it first , though.
Ya that's just really gross! Why would they wear a sweater made out of corgi hair that could possibly have the cure for cancer, and that was 12 years old! Yuck!!!!! And I'm not being girly! I think most people that don't know what we are talking about feel the same way! No ofense or anything!
I don't know why, but this whole "assingnment" is making me feel queasy! Not that I'm going to barf or anything! :) I just.... am.... well.... not to mention that I'm sick already, not from this or anything, just normaly! So don't get any ideas!
You know... we could make a corgi wig! Or beard! That would be funny! We could all make our own corgi wigs and beards and make our corgis wear it on christmas next year and it could be thier own costume and they all could be santa!
You can spin dog fur; however, you need to add in another fiber to make the yarn stronger. I read that the dog fur is simply too thin and soft to work on its own.

I've never made yarn, nor do I knit. It is the one needle work that I really can not do.
Same thing here. I'm a total sewer. Embroidery is fine, but I can never understand how to knit. I'm going to try to learn, but... I also weave.
Here is a link to instructions for making felt. http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art50857.asp It sounds too easy.

The assignment is that we all make felt vests for our Corgis out of their own hair. Then we can trade patches with each other to sew onto the felt vests...made out of...of course Corgi felt. After Easter I am going to give each Corgi a bath and a furminator treatment to get my supplies!
Now this is a great idea!! Could we make little badges like girl scouts earn to sew on to these vests???Imagine the interest this could generate when we walk the dogs. Not just the fact that they are corgis, but have a secret society as well....
*shouting with laughter*
Count me in with Sharnee! ;)
Holy cow... "quality similar to cashmere"...

I really think we have opened an untapped market ;)
*holds sides* *falls off chair* *dies*

I would love to see pictures if anyone does any of these ideas. When I get the chance I'll be sure to try some myself and post my own photos ;)

I will if you will!
