tag stains

hey, does anyone know how to get those stains from dog tags off of kirby's neck??? i have tried shampooing him but that does not get it out :/ he is an excape artist, so he pretty much always has his collar and tags on

You need all stainless-steel hardware. Hard to do. Even the D-rings are usually plated metal, not stainless.
Downside: stainless is heavier than aluminum, and much harder to engrave.
Do remember that you're asking the animal to lug that stuff around all its life. Make the collar etc. as lightweight as possible. It doesn't have to hold a car.

oh, i will try the nail polish trick.. i finally took cories tags off her collar, as i was tired of the black stains.. the dog shampoo i use has been taking it out..
