Hi Everyone

Does anyone have advice on teaching your little one to go down stairs?  Ruckus has no problem going up stairs and makes a break for it any time the baby gate is down, but he refuses to come back down.  After about 20 minutes of sitting on the stairs sweet talking him with his favorite treats in hand I give up and carry him back down.  He is 16 weeks now.

Thanks in advance
Erin

Haha--I remember this being an issue for Harry too! I think they will all just figure it out in time. 16 weeks is still pretty little. The little corgi body is a little oddly shaped for going down stairs so they just need some time to get the hang of it : ) Just make sure that he doesn't develop a fear of the stairs, cause that could be a lingering problem that you don't want. sounds like you are on the right track with the positive assocations.
Thank you both for the advice. I wasn't sure if I was on the right track or if I was missing the only window of opportunity to teach him. I'll keep on cheering him on but won't push it. He is a bit of a daredevil so maybe it's best to keep the stairs blocked off and regulated until he's a bit older.
