i have a 5 month female corgi and a 5 month male corgi (not realated) and i want to do something with them, not sure, maybe agility or rally, but i dont want them breeding, i dont know if i should wath untill abby goes through her first heat (i heard that could be beneficial as well as harmful) or if i should spay her at 6 months? same with the male, wait till he is done growing (i also heard that is beneficial but with some downsides;marking and agression) or should i do it at 6 months?

I would recommend you spay/neuter them at six months. The benefits of early sterilization far outweigh most reasons to wait.
I neutered Pistol at a little after 6 months, and wished I would have waited a bit longer. The vet said that if done too early it messes up their growth, but too late and they are marking...so it was a bit of a timing issue. I ended up with a corgi with freakishly long legs...lol
Everyone has an opinion on this one. I suggest that one neuter around 5-6 months. If male, I like to see them altered before they start the whole leg-lifting and marking behavior. It doesn't stop it, but it certainly curtails it some. As for females, I've seen it both ways. If spayed around 5-6 months, it cuts way down on hormone-induced cancers.
