Event Description

All of us in the Chicago Area can vouch for the fact that the winter has been TOO LONG!!!! Please join us for an informal Corgi Meetup at the beautiful Pawsitively Heaven Pet Resort.

If you are interested in attending, the pet resort does REQUIRE that you supply current proof of the following vaccinations:

Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella as well as a fecal flotation test which checks for worms and parasites. They require this proof for the protection of your dog as well as others.

You may fax that information to them ahead of time.

The fee will be 5.00 which will cover the cost of the room rental of 50.00. Money collected over 50.00, will be donated to Corgi Rescue. Feel free to bring snacks and drinks!

We live in Lafayette IN and are a little confused on Daylight Savings Time. We will be setting our clocks forward tonight by one hour and we were wondering if the Chicago area switches as well?

We are super excited! We will be bringing Ana and Keenan with tomorrow. They have been helping to train a beagle mix and will be very happy to be with other corgis!

Hope you and Bon Bon can make it Sunday Mark....I read your post below. I also posted a response on your page regarding the bordatella.

Just spoke with the manager. It's mandatory per protocol to protect the dogs they're boarding regardless of contact with them.

Apparently it's normal for a dog to never have been vaccinated for Bordatella if they've never been boarded or in a group environment such as training. So if the king or queen of your household has never had it - no worries - you're not neglecting them; they just didn't need it. Not sure if we'll be able to swing this event, depending on our vet's recommendation regarding this.

Yes, it is, but so is the parainfluenza virus.

Kennel Cough, a/k/a "Infectious Tracheobronchitis"
As per peteducation.com
http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?c=2+2102&aid=452

"There are many different agents that can cause of tracheobronchitis. The most common are parainfluenza virus, Bordetella bronchiseptica, and mycoplasma."

I thought the Bordetella was for Kennel cough? Good Luck, hope to see you on Sunday.
