Event Description

All of us in the Chicago Area can vouch for the fact that the winter has been TOO LONG!!!! Please join us for an informal Corgi Meetup at the beautiful Pawsitively Heaven Pet Resort.

If you are interested in attending, the pet resort does REQUIRE that you supply current proof of the following vaccinations:

Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella as well as a fecal flotation test which checks for worms and parasites. They require this proof for the protection of your dog as well as others.

You may fax that information to them ahead of time.

The fee will be 5.00 which will cover the cost of the room rental of 50.00. Money collected over 50.00, will be donated to Corgi Rescue. Feel free to bring snacks and drinks!

Comment by Mark Ryan on March 5, 2009 at 11:19pm: Hmm...Bon Bon just had her yearly exam/shots last week which consisted of fecal exam, rabies, and DHLP-P-C (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza (Kennel cough), Parvo, and Coronavirus). Wouldn't the kennel cough be covered under the Parainfluenza? I can't recall her ever getting a Bordatella shot, though she's never around other dogs other than at the groomer.

Comment by Cookie Y. on March 1, 2009 at 11:08pm: I didn't have the list with me when I took Cookie for her Bordetella vaccine, and the vaccination certificate lists "neg for intestinal parasites on 5/28/08". Does this mean I should take her back for this test? What a pain! What is the address for the place? We are looking forward to going to the get together.

Comment by winnie_the_dog on February 27, 2009 at 11:18am: oh she had all of them but everytime we ask for proof for the dog parks and stuff they just give us a printed reciept. (other than ravies which actually looks like a real documentation). I'll just call and have them fax everything.

Comment by Natalie, Lance &Tucker on February 27, 2009 at 10:31am: Hi! You need to have something directly from the vet, I believe, but you could call and ask about the reciept. Bordetella is usually given every six months if not the dogs/puppies need to have the shot at least 1 week before the meet up. Hope to see you there!

Bill Winnie and I will probably be there. she had her check up in early feb so i think we are covered for all of those. do they prefer to get something from the vet directly? i have the itemized reciept
