How often do corgis shed, and what kind of grooming tools do I need?

Hi everybody,
We are getting a dog very soon and I am wondering when they shed. How much do they shed too?
I've been waiting a long time to get our little tri-colored corgi, and I know a lot about them, but I still have some questions. If you have an answer, please comment back.

LOL!!!!! Do they shed??? I was at the vets a couple of months ago, and a woman was asking about corgis, about the pros and cons of them. She had been thinking about getting one. I think after every two sentences, I said, "oh, and they shed". The woman got to giggling, and said...."Gee, I was wondering,,,,,do they shed?" She still was very interested in them, though.
