I just realized how many people have corgis that like the water. Charlies hates the water, he is afraid of plastic bags, the water hose and flies ( only flies in the house, he tries to herd flies if he sees them outside).
These are just a few of the strange little oddities about him that I call "corgi quirks". Does anyone else have precious babies with corgi quirks?

Wally does the same thing with the laser pointer and groans and moans when he's being rubbed/picked up/or hugged as well. Most of the time I think its because he's hot and doesn't want to be bothered, other times its like "whats up your butt?" He'll just back away and find the nearest hardwood floor or tile and plop down and he content with the nice coolness.
Indy doesn't like it when I stick my tongue out at her. She'll turn her head away uncomfortably and walk to her "safe spot" under the dining table : ) Goofy dog.
Bernie doesn't like it when she's in the car and a person on a bicycle or motorcycle pulls up along side us. She doesn't like the shape of it or something - she goes nuts barking at it and will even growl. This one guy was in a wheelchair on the side of the road once and you'd have thought she saw a zombie.
OMG wally did the same thing too! Some guy on a road bike (think tour de france) pulled up next to us and he went nuts!
For Ein, the bikes were okay - it's the helmets that got him. If Grandpa put his motorcycle helmet on inside the house, watch out!
Oh I just thought of one! One time Theo was sitting with me on the couch and my husband was sitting in the other room, but viewable from where we were. My husband opened up a big map that covered his whole torso (and the table covered the rest of him), and all you could see were his two hands holding the map. Theo freaked! He started barking and immediately ran over to make sure that my husband was ok and the map monster hadn't eaten him.

After he was assured that he had thwarted the monster, he came back and sat back on the couch next to me. Hehe.
Lola HATES feet. She will scurry away (while grumbling) if you get your feet near her.

And she's never slept in bed with us, but when we'll put her up there to hang with us, or to take a nap, she gets irritated if we move any part of our body. She does the grumbling/scurrying away thing.

It's amazing all the personality these little dogs have!!!
Caleb doesn't like the ironing board or the iron. The ironing board makes this squeaking noise when I open it and the iron hisses and bubbles and steams. Last night he fled to my bedroom and glared at me through the doorway as if to say, "I don't know what you're doing with those things, but I don't like them. I'm going to wait over here until you're done. Are you done yet?"

Interestingly enough, the vacuum does not bother him.

He also doesn't like sprinklers. During our evening walks, he desperately tries to get me to walk around them into the street if he thinks the sprinklers will spray onto the sidewalk.

Hopefully I'll be able to take him to the beach soon, I'm sure it will be amusing for me no matter what. :-)
Oh goodness.... she wont go into the water now unless you throw her in with her vest on lol. Then she runs back to the dock with the "Again! Again!" grin and nub wag.

She'll also.. um... er... smash her head into the floor... after eating peanut butter or a meal she'll go to the carpet and instead of just rubbing her face you'll hear a *THUD* where she's bashed her head and then starts rubbing.

If you start talking corgi to her she'll talk back. Like making little chirps and growls... but its funny because if it sounds like any other dog she doesn't care.. it has to be those odd noises that you mostly hear only corgis make. So we'll sit there and grumble at one another till Chris yells at us to hush :)

If she lays on the couch with us or my roomies bed she HAS to have a pillow of some sort.

If its daytime and you ask her onto the couch.. you'll most def. have a corgy fluff in your face as she crawls over your shoulder to look out the window behind the couch lol.

For some reason big trash bags don't bother her at all.. no matter how much you shake the dang thing.. or vacuums now.. but lord knows if you touch those little shopping bags and crinkle them.. she runs.

and.. last but odd one.... after she dumps outside on our walks... she runs... like duck and cover runs.. I have to tell her to sit and wait so I can go pick it up.. I have no idea why she does this.
My Emmie LOVES water, fortunately my breeder told me about this as all her corgi's love water, I discovered on getting her home the water bowl was her favorite toy! The bad part was constanly spilling the large bowl but the good part was that my kitchen floor has never been so clean. She's 6 months now so has stopped doing it so much. Still loves the wading pool and hose, preferably turned on of course. Ice cubes in the bowl will also thrill her. Connie
Lance doesnt like band uniforms with capes! We found that out tonight after my daughters band performance at the football game!
Flash really likes the hair dryer; he tries to bite at the hot air on his face. He has been around pools; the first time he fell in, but figured out how to swim out. Since that experience, I'm not really sure if he likes it, but isn't afraid of it. Flash definitely does the FRAP -ing and the flat dog syndrome, and rolls in every smell outside that he finds.
