Every now and then I give them "greenies", but I would like to see if y'all have any other suggestion, possibly cheaper / free alternatives?

I've found that Walmart's brand of doggy mints work just as well as expensive ones, but are much cheaper.
But are the ingredients of good quality?

I get the herbal breath mints at Petsmart. Haven't tried them yet.
haha i brush her teeth with an old tooth brush..well..when she lets me.
My doggie doesn't have bad breath. I wonder why...I'm not doing anything special. I haven't yet brushed his teeth. He doesn't chew on any bones, rawhide, etc. Just eats his food, Canidae kibble and raw carrots, green beans and the occasional piece of meat thrown in. I wonder if doggie breath comes from the stomach and upper intestines. Maybe in those dogs who have it, they are eating something that doesn't get digested properly or doesn't agree with them. Just a guess?
