Degenerative Myelopathy. Really known better is German Shepherds and large breeds. Seems the corgi is the only small breed. It is similar to MS in humans; no cure. Through all my research I changed to vegetarian. Dogs don't need meat, so it seems.
Thanks for the websites. Oh! what an eye opener! I am going to start changing my dogs to Blue Buffalo, I wish some of the other six star brands were sold in my area.
I got a big bag of Nature's Recipe-Puppy: Lamb Meal and Rice. I also have a sample bag of Blue Buffalo-Puppy: Chicken and Brown Rice that I want to mix in with it. Not the whole bag, just a few pieces of it every so often. You know, to give Banzai a little variety.

I will also treat Banzai with fruits and veggies namely carrots, apples, and yams. But for the most part he will be treated with bits of liver, chicken, and Nature's Recipe Venison treats.

I want him to have a well rounded diet with meat being the center of it.
I feed Innova. It's expensive, but so healthy it's worth it. I'd never feed anything else.
Carlee, I have tried finding Innova in my area and haven't located anywhere that sells it. Where do you get it?
Does anyone out there have an opinion about Wellness food? I had Gus on Canidae for awhile, but it made him really gassy! I have him on Wellness now (mostly kibble, a little canned at night). He seems to like it, and it agrees with him.
We have our dog on Wellness and she likes it, the lamb green bag plus we give her Nupro which with a little water makes a gravy. The Nupro is the joint and vitamin supplement recommended by some breeders. Her coat looks great and she is a picky eater and likes this combo. Sometimes I put a spoonful of cottage cheese mixed in.
I have our two dogs on Wellness and I've really been happy with it. Our mix breed had bad dandruff on Iams and I switched to the Wellness White Fish and Sweet Potato and her coat is now nice an shiny and no flakes. Our Corgi is on the duck formula. I think they now make a 'small breed' formula as well.
Also just started my dog on Wellness Super 5 Mix (lamb & salmon- green bag) and he's doing well. Lots of natural ingredients, and it's a 5-star food on the dog food analysis website.

I have been feeding my corgis Wellness Fish and sweet potato for many years now.  they love it, their coats are gorgeous, stools are always good. I love that its good for dogs with food allergies and that they hull the barley and do every other thing possible to make it super digestible.  Great company.  Great food.  I did my home work and at one point made my own food for them but this has been the best.  dry kibble with a spoonful of canned wellness duck twice a day.  Highly recommend!

I feed my 1 year old corgi purina dog chow.
We feed both our dogs Innova EVO small bites. It's supposed to be one of the top rated dog foods. They gobble it up and lick their bowls clean, so I'm assuming they like it!
Midgee loves to sit next to the food bin.... just waiting for 2nds, 3rd, 4ths.... : )
