Back to the vet for more x-rays tomorrow. Yep, he's throwing up food AND water again. :(

Today has seriously been absolutely horrible. Our office manager told me today that we don't have any upcoming projects in the wings and only enough money in the company bank account to get us through to mid January. Unless we get some new clients coming in, we're all going to be out of work.

So with that hanging over my head, it was turning out to be a pretty horrible Christmas. I actually said, "This is the worst Christmas ever." Lucas said, "It can always be worse. Just be thankful it isn't."

It just got worse.

Ein is throwing up again. Food twice and water three times. Poor boy. Lucas said, "Ein" in an exasperated tone when he started to look like he was going to throw up again while we were cleaning up the second (and HUGE) water loss, just because he didn't want Ein to be sick again. Poor baby thought he was in trouble and looked upset. I told him to go outside with daddy and Lucas rushed him out. You could tell Ein was trying really hard to be a "good boy" and not throw up in the house because he threw up water again the second he was outside.

I already called work and left a voice mail saying I'd be late tomorrow. I'm taking him to the vet who is willing to do a payment plan for more x-rays. Either he is VERY sick, suddenly allergic to his food, or he has a blockage somewhere, because this is even worse than last time. At least work won't be mad at me for being late, considering the financial situation.

Please let me know if you need anything at all.. Seriously money or anything. I will send some! I really will! I've been in situations like this before and it sucks but it is so nice when someone helps out and I will. :)
That is very sweet of you to offer, and it is definitely appreciated. I don't want anyone to feel like they "have" to make a donation to help with Ein's medical treatment, but if anyone would like to, my paypal account is under nicole@maddenhomedesign.com

I use the same paypal account for my jewelry store on etsy, so if you would like to make a donation, feel free to browse my shop (www.corgicreations.etsy.com) and I'd be more than happy to send something. Anything in my paypal account(whether from sales or not) will be set aside to go towards Ein's medical bills. I'm going to leave it all in paypal until it's time to make a payment on the care credit card for his emergency hospital visit or until it's time to make a payment to the vet, that way I know that the money goes to help Ein, rather than accidently get spent on other miscellaneous bills.

I called the vet's office right at 7am when the opened and got Ein an appointment for 10:15, so I will update as soon as I know anything. Lucas reminded me last night that about a year or so ago, our vet in Louisiana put Ein on some meds after throwing up for 3 or 4 days straight. He was able to keep water down then, but I still can't help but wonder if this is actually some type of long term problem that we just didn't know about because it was so intermittent.

I doubt it is food related because they've been on Beneful for years, but I'm out of dog food anyways, so as a precaution, I'm going to switch them all back to ProPlan Sensitive Stomach and Skin. Our lab can only handle certain foods, and the Healthy Radiance Beneful and PP SS&S are the only two foods we've given him that he's been able to tolerate with no problems. Even if it's not a food allergy, Ein obviously has stomach issues right now and it is probably worth the added expense to switch to a better food that is designed for sensitive tummies (once the vet gives him the okay to eat kibble again instead of bland diet). It's healthier for them all anyways and I've always regretted taking them off of it. I think this is the first time that i'm actually GLAD I forgot to buy something while out shopping, otherwise I'd have a full bag of Beneful because I meant to buy it while I was out picking up a few groceries from Walmart last night.
Oh Nos! :( Its nice that you found such a nice vet.. I hope they figure out what's going on..

Hopeful thoughts coming your way..
Slight Update:

The vet asked if he could "babysit" Ein for the day so that he can run some tests. He (the vet) will be at the office until 8 tonight and said that he'll call me this afternoon or this evening.
Update:

I just called to check on him. The vet tech said that Dr. Good (yes, that's really his name) told her that Ein is eating like a pig and acting like he's feeling okay. They found an easy-on-the-tummy food that he loves (big surprise. My piggy boy likes ALL food). He has not thrown up yet since getting there, so the vet is leaning towards it not being a blockage. He hasn't done any x-rays yet because if Ein can keep food down, he doesn't think it's necessary to make us spend the money on them. However, just to be on the safe side, they do want to keep him overnight for obversation and make sure he continues to keep food and water down before sending him home with the food he's eating there and some medicines.

On the one hand, I am going to miss my baby so much tonight. It won't be the same without him here. But on the other hand, since they didn't do any x-rays, I am glad that they are keeping him because if he does get sick again, they'll know that it can't be something he ate because he's been in a cage only eating the food that they give him.

I am really glad that I bought the sensative stomach food this afternoon. I'm definitely switching over to it permanently if it will help keep him healthy.
I hope that ur lil baby will be ok soon - many prayers going ur way!! :)
Keeping Ein in prayer. We'll be waiting to hear the final word from the vet.
I am so glad that your Ein sounds like he's going to be okay. Our female Catahoula/Basset-X has a sensitive tummy so we feed all our dogs Bil-Jac Reduced Fat. It is the only quality dog food that we've had them on that Ayla doesn't throw up. Moonmystic and I like the fact that the company uses a low temp to process their dog food. Their process retains more nutrition than others and they don't add their supplements until after the food is processed.

We will keep Ein in our prayers. Blessings.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I'm glad to hear that Ein is doing better. I'll keep him in my prayers.

God bless!
What still bothers me is that would food that disagreed him really cause him to not be able to keep down water, too? I can understand throwing up food if your tummy feels bad, but water? I just have this nagging feeling that while switching foods may help, it won't solve the issue. I guess we'll see.
Oh no. I'm so sorry Ein is feeling bad again. We will say some prayers for ya'll and me and Duke wish you a Merry Christmas.
Ohh, Good luck to you guys! Keep us posted on what is going on! Hopefully, the "good" vet will come through!
