My corgi mac has finally stopped shedding but I am just wondering if your corgi sheds a lot. It seems like twice a year she goes through these HUGE shedding periods. She get's these tufts of hair that work their way out of her coat and just sit there. You can see them because they are white in her red fur or they stick way out. It's pretty funny. We usually have to brush her like 3 times a week if not more during these times.
Does anyone else experience this? Just wondering if it's her. We live in Minnesota and she LOVES the winter, but Summer's are so tough on her because it's so warm. I have considered shaving her, but can't bring myself to do it :)
my Jach looked like the donkey on "Shrek", his skin is grey and he has the large ears!!

Ah yes, being another Florididididian, I love my furminator brush. It really really does an excellent job of removing the undercoat which is what is shed most.

Our corgi seems to shed year round! She doesn't like being brushed, so it's hard to control. I'd love to have a Dyson vacuum. We have a Furminator, but she'll only tolerate so much brushing.
both my corgis shed like crazy....we have the ShedEX treatments done with their monthly grooming and it helps a little.
we shave our male in the summer and he loves it and the hair comes back in full in a few months He does look like the donkey in Shrek when hes shaved!! we have our female trimmed, but she had mange when we adopter her so i dont want to mess too much with her skin., its still very dry. we got leather seats in our new car because the hair was so hard to get out of the cloth seats.
Had to laugh. Had Dundee at work the other day and brought him back to the grooming area for a nail trim. He was shedding like crazy and just HATES to be messed with (it's that leftover puppy mill thing). We raked his coat for quite a while. Could have made a whole new corgi with what was pulled off of him!
Ein is a big time shedder. Year round. He seriously never stops. We have a ritual now. Every Thursday after work, we go around with the shop vac and suck up all the corgi fluff that is in every corner and all over the floors. I'm so glad that our rental house is all hardwood floors. Our old house had carpet and it was impossible. I will never live in another house with carpet as long as we own Ein.
