adult fleas!!!

ein's been taking his Program for about 2 months now and doing great BUT...since we live in an apt complex nobody else gives a hoot about controlling the fleas. i've been noticing ein scratching so i'll stop him and look for the fleas myself. i've been pulling them off one at a time (it seems they like to hop on him 1 at a time.) he doesn't have any flea dirt so i know its not an infestation :) unfortunately Program does nothing for adult fleas so what do you guys suggest? i really don't want to switch him since we're moving to our house in less than a month and will be able to spray the yards. i'm really looking for something like a spray, etc.

If it is temporary, get him a tablet of capstar, it will start wiping out adult fleas in 20 minutes, last 30 hours. But keep him away from the fleas area, because after 30 hours, it will not work anymore, also if there's flea eggs, it will only break the adult stage. for month long treatment, you'll need comfortis.

hmmm you could try to dust his bed with diatomasous earth, the powder is safe for humans and dogs, but bugs dessicate from it, its so tiny it creeps into their exoskeleton and dries them to death...D.E. it's good for a natural deworming internally, too. (1/2 teaspoon in a wet food daily). Carol
