Black Flies
OMG the black flies are out! I am covered in bites and itchy. Becca's ears got bitten while we were gardening yesterday. Does anyone have any suggestions how to keep them off her? I am allergic to Skin so Soft, so I can't use that. I'm also allergic to OFF and other people sprays if you have any suggestions for me as well.
I'm not sure if black flies are just a New England thing...

I am not sure of what other brands there are but whatever brand you choose to use, get the infant or toddler formula for Becca.
When we use sunblock on Chase we use Aveeno baby sunscreen and I put it mainly on his ears and nose. :)

Flies-Off is a product for horses that I've used and works very well. It comes in a spray and a roll-on. The dogs much prefer the roll-on and it's easier to control. You need very little. I would apply it every few days to the ear tips or edge. Here is a link, if you don't find it locally:

I've been told that rubbing Listerine on will ward off mosquitoes--don't know if it works for flies though.
