I have been feeding Sadie Blue Buffalo Puppy food since shortly after I got her. Usually it takes her a while to eat her food and I usually mix it with cottage cheese or some meat. We were at PetSmart and got offered a trial bag of Bil Jac puppy food. I have mixed some in with her normal BB food and she loves the Bil Jac and picks it all out, but still eats some of the BB.

My question is: which food, if any of those two, do you all use or recommend? I like how BB has no wheat, and grains; while Bil Jac does contain corn. The representative for Bil Jac we met told us their corn was cooked differently and not used as a filler, but you never know. I was just searching or some opinions.

Hi Sarah!

If you do a search under "discussions" you will find many threads dediciated to the question of food! I have never fed BilJac to my dogs, so I have no direct experience, but I bet at least a few folks here have. You sound like a very good corgi Mom to look into it so thoroughly, andf you will make the decision that is right for you and Sadie. You could always try it out and see how she does...if the results are not what you like you can always switch her back to BLue.
Hi Sarah! There are several food threads here and everyone has a different opinion. I don't have personal experience with either, so I can't say specifically. For me, personally, it is important to me that my dog enjoys his food (I would make an exception for a medically necessary diet). So if my dog didn't seem too fond of his food, I might read some labels and find one or two options that met my requirements, and gradually switch to a different one to see if he liked it better. Most of the brands have websites with a fair amount of information such as ingredient lists, nutrient content, calories, etc, so you can comparison shop without standing in the store for an hour.

Good luck!
