Broken Pelvis

My friend's Corgi has a broken pelvis in 2 places. This is a heatbreaking story! My friend stopped in her driveway to talk to her daughter and then pulled ahead a few feet while accidently running over her Corgi. Needless to say she feels horrible... and is grief stricken that she did this to her furbaby. We are encouraged that the vet gave a favorable diagnosis for recovery. Has anyone had any experence with a Corgi with a broken pelvis. She is doing her best to keep her baby isolated, calm and relaxed... which is what the vet said for her to do at this poing.

Oh how horrible! I can't imagine the guilt she must be feeling. I don't have any experience with a dog with a broken pelvis...sorry! I do know they make slings you can put under them to help them walk..hopefully somebody here can give you more info...

I think Joanna Kimball's (from blacksheep cardigans) dog Clue had a broken pelvis after being hit by a car. I believe she healed up just fine with crate rest.

My friend's Corgi... Penny is doing good. They have another Corgi named Lola that really misses her playmate. She lays by Penny's crate most of the day to keep her company. Fingers are crossed for a speedy recovery.
