Well it has been 48 days and 11½ hours and still missing Coco, trouble is not able to get rid of her dishes or collars. Put them in a bowl with the rest of her stuff and keep it in the kitchen as a reminder like I need that. Have ballons that I some times get and put with her stuff...I dont think she will be back to get them. Not the same without her.

:(  by that i mean that I am sad for you....
Found this picture of her and me ( about 45lbs ago ) waving with her hurt arm. She was faking, by the time I put her down she had the wrap off and was ready to play.
cute pic!!  Hang in there, it isn't easy loosing a loved one.  We are here for you.
Losing a dearly loved member of the family is so, so painful!  I can imagine that it may take a long time to even begin to recover!  You can always contact your friends here at "My Corgi", because we share your deep love of our corgis, (and all the furry members), of our families!
This is truly the best place to go for support. I have no other place to go. If you look close at the picture above, you should see in front of my formerly fat belly my cocker spaniel under the table. Thanks for all the help
We send you healing corgi kisses and hugs.  When the time is right, you will be able to share Coco's belongings.  Until then, remember the blessings of corgi love.  From your friends, Nancy, Bear, Tasha and Linus

Whenever you love someone, you open yourself to hurt.  People leave, fail you, die, or it doesn't work.

I think the thing to do is remember the good times, and remember that your friend would not want you grieving over what cannot be helped.

You never stop missing them but in time you mostly remember with a smile. Around then you can start to think about a new one to create happy memories with...corgi hugs.
I'm sorry you are still hurting. I understand about not putting away Coco's things because I have done the same thing. There is just something about having those items still around that brings some comfort. Keeping you in my thoughts.

Yes, we miss them for a very long time, but animals, like people, are more than their physical bodies and in a quiet moment, you may still feel Coco's presence around.   Here is a book you might like:

Good Grief: Finding Peace After Pet Loss: Personal and Professional Insights on the Animal Lover's Unique Grieving Process by Sid Korpi Winner of the Reader Views 2010 Reviewers Choice Award for outstanding literary work in the area of inspiration/spirituality.

Have not heard of that book. I shall look. Thanks for all the replies. She really was a good great  girl.

OK I have found the picture and am trying to post the image
