Thank you john... I only wish I could do more for her.
Totally. I think they just wanted her to make some puppies... then when they couldn't sell them as easily as they were hoping... they moved on... she recently had puppies... you can tell because of her nipples. But not recently enough to be still making milk... makes me sad.
One wonders what happened to the pups.  I had a young housemate once, had a really nice black lab.  He didn't know she was in heat when she got loose, and didn't know she was pregnant until she had puppies on another housemate's bed.  Not making this up.
Poor baby! Hoping she finds a wonderful forever home!
I contacted someone (I can't remember her name off the top of my head) in Bellevue Washington. She is going to contact some people to foster and/or give her a forver home!!!!

No one has called me about trixie yet. I'm afraid I'm going to have to take her to the humane society in a day or two. I really don't want to... I don't know what else to do.... makes me so sad.

I found this info online.  I don't know how up to date it is....

If you are unable to find a rescue organization that serves your area, contact the PWCCA National Rescue Chairman:
Mary Day
Email: stlh20@earthlink.net

Hope this helps.  If I come across anything else I will let you know.

When inquiring about a Corgi to adopt over the weekend in one of the Carolinas, I was given this person's name and email address.  Perhaps it will help.

salleyw@bellsouth.net

This is part of what the Carolina rescue person emailed:  *** I am copying Walton Salley with this response.  She knows more about corgi rescues throughout the country than anyone else.***

HEY!  Mary Day is the rescue person for Cascade PWCC!  Al just sent her $50 for the camera backpack that he won for his photo in the Washington Trails Ass'n Photo Contest because MyCorgi.com stuffed the FaceBook ballot box, and we were able to sell it for $50.  What goes around, comes around.  Thanks everybody!
Some good photos of Trixie might help.  Comb her a bit, get her gussied-up, sit her in front of a neutral homey background, get down at face-level, and have your assistant display the dog treat right beside the camera.  Get good and close.  Get a good smile, like your pic of Kota.  Happy-looking, not sad and pathetic.
