Our little Prince Francis is 5 1/2 months old now and growing like a weed! He seems to be getting longer, although not much taller, ha! Last time he was weighed at the vet he was just under 15 lbs. That was when he was 17 weeks old. I weighed him yesterday and he is now 18 pounds. I've read that corgis go through a major growth spurt between 5 and 6 months, so I am just wondering when he will start gaining more weight. I figured he would be gaining more weight more rapidly at this point, but he's not. He's very happy, I feed him twice a day, and he eats almost everything I put down for him. I feed him a little over a full cup of Iams proactive puppy food. He gets a few fresh green beans with each meal and a few in between for treats. Sometimes he finishes his food, sometimes he leaves a little. Everything else is normal. i.e, exersize, sleeping, and almost all of his big boy teeth have come in. Should I be concerned that he's not heavier, or am I being an over-protective mother?!?

I'm wondering the same thing about Gus. He's 9 months old and 23 pounds. That seems a little light to me for his age but he seems just fine.
First of all - Good Lord he's cute!!!!!

Not sure if this is helpful or not, but Bear weighs in at 20 pounds at 6 months. Vet says he's in great shape and has never had a negative thing to say about his size or weight.
Dax is over a year old and hasn't even cleared 25 pounds yet. I don't know if he's just small, or if I need to be feeding him more, but I have to bring him for his checkup on Thursday, so I plan on asking. He doesn't look thin...well right now he kind of does because he's losing his coat...all over my house. Lol. I think if he looks healthy and not too thin, I wouldn't worry about it. That picture of him is adorable!
Jordan was weighing in at 29lbs by 10months and has weighed that ever since, the differance between Teagen and Jordan will be big I'm thinking, he weighed 11lbs at 11 wks (easy to rememeber) Teagen is 11 wks but only 5.5lbs. When I go to my local corgi meetups though all the corgi's are different sizes and weights so I figure as long as mine look healthy (not fat) I wouldn't worry to much about the numbers.
Sadie just weighed 15lbs at 6 months!! But the vet said she is healthy & not to worry about it. She will just be a smaller little girl. Her mom was sound 20lbs full grown so Sadie will be little!
Wow... Pippi was 9 pounds at 17 weeks (I'm betting she'll hit 10 pounds at 5 months)... she is small, but the vet keeps reassuring us that she's healthy, not too skinny at all, just small. She's eating about 1 cup of Purina One puppy food each day, and I'm told that she really only "needs" 1/2 cup per day. Healthy, happy, energentic... and small!
Mickey just hit 16 pounds and is 9 months! Happy, energetic and LOVES food! :) I love my small corgi
Wow.. Caly's only 11 lbs at 6 months! She looks so skinny to me. She gets 2 cups of puppy food a day but usually only eats about 1.5. I think she got a little longer so she probably just needs to fill out a little. I can't see her ribs yet but I hope she puts on at least a couple more pounds soon. If not I'll mention it to the vet when she goes in to get fixed next week.
For the last two months Freya has held steady at 18 pounds. Her parents having a huge weight range (mom 30 lbs and dad 20 lbs) makes it hard for me to figure out how she will turn out. She's grown taller and longer in the past month so I suspect she should hit 20 at the least and maybe 22 or so when she gets older. At 6 months she was 17 pounds, 7 months 18.6, 8 months 18 even, and I'm almost certain she's still 18 pounds.

I just bumped her food intake up to 2/3 or 3/4th of a cup of Blue Buffalo and sometimes I'll go back to 1/2 cup. She doesn't get much in treats except when I leave for work or she needs to go to bed. She's still really energetic since her spay and was quite the hand full while healing from her spay (and that's not including when her body rejected the internal sutures either.)
