Do you prefr your Corgi with or without a tail ?

I've been lucky enough to be owned by two lovely corgis, the first one had her tail docked and my second has a complete tail. I've noticed with the dog with her tail that it's easier to tell her mood and reactions and she seems to be more balanced when climbing over obstacles.

Sidney is my only corgi so far...he has his tail and we love it. He stands out at the corgi meetups and he looks like a fox :)

Our first corgi Basil had no tail, but it became illegal in the UK to dock any dog unless it was for medical reasons, and our Archie has a tail. I love to see him wag his tail, in fact you only have to make eye contact with him for the tail to move. It makes them look more fox like but I love it, in fact even if it were legal here to dock, I would go for a tail every time!

I have always liked tails. Over the years, I have learned to like natural bob tails. There are times I wished Tucker had a tail.

Noodles has no tail and I feel awful what he had to go through when he was so young, but I love his bunny butt so much. I can't picture him with a tail and I love seeing his whole back end wiggle when he is excited. They clipped his tail so well that he is perfectly smoothe, so you really have to watch to see when he is wiggling his "tail". We call it his nub and it is so precious as to how quickly he can move that little thing when he is happy/excited. I'm used to reading his facial expressions rather than relying on his back end since he doesn't have a tail. Oh how I would love to have a cardigan and then I could have one of each breed and one with a tail and one without a tail. When I think Pembroke, I think no tail, but that is just my opinion. I love those bunny butts!

I like them both. My ex has a tri pem with a beautiful tail. Sparky is a natural bob tail.

well i dont know that her tail helps her balance any because chloe is definetly not graceful...anything but in fact. but i do love her tail. every once in a while it will catch her attention and she will chase it for a min...even all grown up its the cutest thing ever

I'd have to go with the docked tail. Even as much as I would love to read the natural dog signs the tail gives, I can deal with a little nub. I have noticed over the years that Napolean's nub is much shorter than any other dog which is a disadvantage when it comes to reading aggression, fear, and dominance. Although a recent trip to the dog park gave me a clear view of when his tail is at full height, so his small docked tail is enough to read counting is various facial expressions :)

Definitely a tail! Finn is such a happy dog that he even wags his tail in his sleep (granted he is a Cardi). We live in a day and age where tail docking is completely unnecessary and I for one would love to see the breed standards to reflect that.
