Does your Corgi "purr"?

Hello everyone! Superstar is still growing beautifully! anyways, I have been noticing that she makes a "purr" sound....after she wakes up or when i massage her ears (yes, I give her doggy massages...she loves them!) my boyfriend says she howls, lol. What is she exactly doing and does your corgi purr? thanks!

That sounds very nice, but mine will not sit still for anything. It's wide open or passed out. She has been that way since we got her.

Would you be able to send video or audio to this site, so that we can hear Superstar "purr"?

There's a Pembroke puppy on Youtube, Bosco, that seems to be meowing in the video, "Re: the corgi is singing"--does Superstar sound like that?

Mine does a sort of growly trill that probably comes close. She also does it when she gets up and I'm loving her up. She is very talkative overall - lots more variety than "woof"!

exactly, it is a growly trill, it is so cute! when she goes to a car ride, she does it often rather when she wakes up, or when i massage her ears!

Sidney does this as a greeting when we come home. We call it his baby wookie song

Oh, yes! Freya does this too. It took me a second to realize it--and by second I mean her doing this as a "Mommy, wake up, I"m bored and hungry" call.

She does it when she stretches too. It's sooo cute. I love it.

Maybe someone should start a new club on mycorgi, Dogs of Unusual Noises...and send videos of their dogs making all manner of sound. What do you think?

That's it! That's the baby wookie, only Sid's voice is a bit deeper now. I've never heard the puppy version...it is adorable!

Boscoe does that too! He's older so his "voice" is deeper. He does it when he wakes up and stretches AND when he wants me to give him extra attention and play tug of war or go for a walk.
