Dog Hair Invasion
So, I was laying on the floor this morning and realized that I have two carpets-- the one that came with the apartment, and the one the two dogs installed on their own! lol. We have a vacuum but it's a cheap one that doesn't get pet hair off very well. We've tried the Arm & Hammer pet hair removal stuff and I don't think that worked well. It smelled good though. Are there any tips or tricks you guys know to pull hair out of a carpet without getting on my hands and knees and brushing it with a lint roller?

A pair of dish washing gloves, but you do need to get on your hands and knees. If your vacuum have good suction, having this attachment does help, same principal as the glove.

Use a rubber carpet grooming rake prior to vacuuming.

If you're willing to use some elbow grease, you can buy a sponge mop that has a scrub brush on it and then just scrub the rug. Make sure the bristles are firm so that it'll pick up the hair. I usually break out the brush when I haven't had the chance to vaccum in a while and the hair buildup has gotten out of control. It works pretty well but you'll definitely get workout.
