Chuck and Don's Pet Food Outlet in Dundas/Northfield is doing this. You can go in and donate dog/cat food items to the bin (can be dry food that you haven't used less than half the bag I believe, otherwise it should be unused and unopened goods). It's going to the food shelf for pet owners who can't afford to feed themselves, let alone their pets. Good cause for sure!
Just thought I'd let anyone in the surrounding area know if they would like to donate. Thanks everyone! This is a link to the store location:

Great point Katy....I know the food shelf near us also asks for cat litter and pet food...I used to take a gentleman to our food shelf and once in awhile their was dog/cat food. This man would buy cat litter and food for his cat before he bought his own food...that's how much his animals meant to him:)
No matter where you live PLEASE donate to the local food shelves if it means one more animal can stay at home with their people that love them:)
It breaks my heart that good people end up in horrible situations and then they have to abandon their dog or cat, or feel they do because they feel it's hopeless. Not the people or the animals should be in that situation.
Thanks for putting this up.
