Can anyone give their opinion on having a CERF exam and a heart exam done on a dog that is spayed? Are these tests things that people check if they are going to breed their dogs?  One of the dog schools by us had an eye and heart exam.  I didn't know if it was something I should have taken advantage of just so I know that she is healthy?

CERF is usually done on breeding dogs. Heart is only suggested for certain breeds that are prone to genetic heart problems.

I personally would not take a non-breeding Corgi; eye and heart problems are not high on the list of genetic issues Corgis get. Breeding dogs should be screened for eye problems; the test needs to be repeated yearly.
