We spent the afternoon at the vets office - again! Bailey is suffering from her 3rd eye ulcer in a year. Last year she had an eye surgery to help it heal and was good for several months until she stuck her head in a bush and took a poke to the eye.

So now we have a serum made from her own blood, antibiotic drops and oral antibiotics. This is becoming a tedious process of dealing with the cone and the constant tracking of meds  - I can only imagine how she feels!

Anyone else been through this? Same treatment? How long did it take to heal?

Yep mine ended up having her eye sewn shut for about 3 weeks, but after that she was good to go. The cone is the hardest part. Eyes do heal fast.

We had that procedure last summer as well - it worked great but here we are again. There is a new "cone" out that is an inflatable donut - she seems to really like it kind of walks around like she's the only dog around with a portable pillow!

It is so hard dealing with a chronic problem, with my Tenby it is shoulders. The pills, shots and vet visits can really be hard. Plus our constant concern for our fur-babies and how they are feeling.  I have no suggestion.....just want you to know I understand what you are going through and my thoughts are with you.
