In my first week with Woody and our potty training is going so so. I have been a little inconsistent the past few days and I hope it wasn't enought to teach Woody bad habits. He has found a spot inside and has peed a few times right after we get back inside. I know I need to make potty time all business and wait it out until he goes outside. Any other suggestions to help correct our problem would be appreciated. Thanks.

Use an enzymatic cleaner like Nature's Miracle to rid the spot of the odor. Remember to not use bleach-based cleaners as they can encourage the animal to pee in the area!

In addition to what Ludi says, I'd also place some object over that spot for awhile, so he cannot physically go there, however, if you are not consistent, he'll just go elsewhere. Remember there are no accidents, only training: you are either training him to go outside, or you are training him to go inside and the results tell you which one is going on! :-)

You can check the FAQs on this site and many helpful posts if you need more general info.

Thanks for the tip. We are definitley trying to train him to go outside. I know when he goes inside at this point it is my fault. Just trying to get some good tips.
