So, I'd really like to take Hannah out with me to watch the fireworks, but since she's still a pup and has never experienced anything like that, I'm wondering if it would be a bad idea. I don't want her to be terrified the entire time. What are your thoughts? Do I go ahead and give it a try or perhaps just wait until she's a bit older?

Maybe I am crazy, but I watched fireworks with Gibson last weekend. It wasn't a huge show (my husband was lighting them off in my parent's back yard), but it was pretty loud and something Gibson has never heard before. For things like this, I want to make it a good experience for him before he becomes afraid of it. I've taken him to parades, sat in our screened in porch during thunderstorms, play with him whenever daddy gets really loud and excited during a hockey game, etc. For the fireworks, I would tell him to "high five" and then give him a treat whenever one would go off and by the end of it he could care less about them. We had a dog growing up that would have extreme anxiety attacks and would either run away or hide under a bed whenever there were fireworks, storms, etc., so since then this is what my family has done to raise dogs *shrug*. Professional fireworks would be too loud though like other people have said, so I wouldn't take him to a show..but it is good to get them used to hearing it inside the house too :)
