Good, Durable Chew Toys

I'm at my wits end! Rocky is about to turn 4 months old but since I've gotten him at the beginning of January, he's already chewed through 5 brand new toys! He's chewed: the tail off a soft racoon, bits of plastic from 2 sets of plastic keys, a supposed 'super tough' duck (he got through that in about 4 days!), and a chew rope. I usually leave him with a toy or two when I'm around the house doing other stuff or if I'm watching tv. I can hear him just gnawing away at the toys for hours! Can anyone recommend some really good chew toys?

Bully sticks are great for chewing, cleaning teeth, and breath. Both my corgis love them. But realize that they are also food, and you will most likely need to pull back a bit on treats and/or food.

chloe has a nylabone that has lasted forever... rope toys and stuffed toys she destroys in a heartbeat...she just finally getting to the point that she wont tear them up the instant she gets them...but i still end up sewing them up several times before i toss them and get new ones. i just quit spending a lot for them.

Be very careful with the stuffed toys, I know they are cute, and Quin loves them too, but I had a close call and now we only play fetch with them and then I put them out of her reach. The ropes can be the same way. Quin does love her bully sticks and I am sure there would have been a lot of damage at our house if it hadn't been for bully sticks. they keep her busy and are laying all over the house:)

Have you tried using deer or elk antlers? Sometimes hard to find. You can find them on at good petstores or on Ebay (search Antler dog chew or try link below for a sample). They are naturally shed by deer and elk. They are then cut up into "bone" sized pieces. They are SUPER hard. They have minerals that are good for the dogs, no calories, no splinters, and they are not messy. They don't get all soggy and stinky. My dog takes over a month to chew one up and he chews A LOT!!! One "bone" will run about $6-$10, depending on the size.

Good, durable chew toys? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

What would be the point? We do have an actual Kevlar dog toy, which they ignore (maybe 'cause it's too big).

We get raw (but parboiled) beef bones at the pet store, but I don't know if these are appropriate for teething puppies.

Depends on the dog. Jack can have almost anything except fluffy toys, but Maddie.... ahhh, Maddie. She splinters marrow bones so they are off the list. She bites big chunks off of nylabones. She destroys Kongs, red or black. She even found a way to eat a big hunk of a smooth round rubber Ultraball (that comes with the Chuckit toy).

She's eaten several hunks recently of things I thought indestructible. She does swallow pieces.

Deer antlers last my dogs about two or three days, even if I get the size for dogs 50 pounds or more.

I am getting to the point that I may need to remove all toys and only take them out at playtime.
