My two dogs (Sadie a 3 yr. old Corgi and Molly a 4 yr. old lab) have been best friends since we brought Sadie home. They have never showed any aggression towards each other.....until last week. On Monday morning they were eating meals side by side and playing in the yard. Then Monday night they started growling and barking at each other and would attack one another and start biting. I don't know what is going on between them but I now have to keep them in separate rooms. I have doggie gates up between rooms and if one sees the other in the room through the gate they start to growl and bark. They've even tried breaking down the gate just to get to the other one. I don't know what to do to keep them from fighting.

The only thing that has recently changed is my husband and I just had a baby. The baby is now 5 months old and we have done as much as possible to have one on one time with each dog as well as have time to introduce them to the baby. I can't believe that the new baby is causing them to be mad at each other because they are each still very friendly with the baby but I could be wrong as they are both 'protectors'...

I am in need of some suggestions and helpful ideas on how I can turn them back into best buds! Please help!

Hi Kellie, there is a change in pack order, as your family evolve, the order will continue to change, check out this book.
With a new baby in the house I personally would look into a really good private trainer if the funds are there. I wouldn't want to risk them getting into a fight near the baby. Are they getting enough exercise?
