HELP Tucker isn't listening

So Tucker is 10 months old and is normally a really well behaved dog but he has a biting problem. He loves to have his belly rubbed but even when I do that he thinks he has to be chewing on my hand and this has been an on going issue but when I start to fuss at him he darts off like a mad man and will come back and bark and do it again. I don't know what to do. And when I call for him to come he doesn't do that either. But yet he knows all kinds of tricks and listens when he wants to. Have I done something wrong to make him behave this way or is he just trying to test me? PLEASE help. I want him to be a well behaved dog!

I'm having the same problem. The only thing that seems to calm Gatsby down is taking him outside to play. He'll either instantly become a perfect gentleman, or run it off.

Dogs are great trainers of their people-as long as he gets his belly rubbed and can chew on you, he's getting what he wants-when he starts biting, yell ouch! and stop, put him down or walk away for 1 min. and try again-I would get him into a basic obedience class to help with coming when called-are you calling him away from fun? Pups just want to have a good time-be happy and get excited when he looks at you and back pedal or run away from him-he's a herding dog and they love to chase! Does he like toys? Keep his favorite one for a reward for coming-show it to him when you call and then give it to him when he comes, a bit of tug-a-war is a good reward. If he gets too feisty about giving it up, ya need to teach "drop-it" using a small treat. He should know that one anyway.
