Bindi is driving me crazy with her licking. She licks everything and im really starting to worry about her! She starts with her paws then licks the blankets, couch, floor, carpet, our hands, our arms ANYTHING she can get her tongue on! Shes not licking her paws raw, shes not bored because she will be playing with a toy and then just start licking again. Does anyone know why she does this or what we can do to help her stop? Shes very obsessed with licking anything and everything!

Constant licking is a sign of stress. I would consult a trainer or behaviorist to get to the bottom of the issue before it starts effecting other things.
I agree with MagnoliaFly. I the meantime, does Bindi have anything to chew on? Like a rawhide, bully stick, or antler chew? Maybe she just has an oral fixation and chewing would take care of it. Just guessing here.
she has a ton of toys that she chews. i dont know what could be causing her stress? any suggestions?
Is she left home alone all day every day? Maybe she's just so excited to finally see you that she stressed? Again, just guessing.

Does she have chews that aren't toys? Chews and toys aren't exactly the same in my experience.
Lack of excercise? Lack of routine? I think Ju Lo was referring specifically animal chew products, not stuffed/plastic/rubber toys. My dogs will play with toys, but they will lay down and chew on a bully stick for 30 min to an hour at a time. It obviously is something primal for them.

I think I've heard that over time you can reduce/eliminate fixations with a combination of adequate exercise and redirecting the behavior when you observe it. When licking starts, maybe grab a ball and play fetch, or start working on some tricks/obedience with her--anything she views as a positive activity. But a trainer would be the first person I would talk to.
She is home maybe 3 or 4 days a week by her self for about 8 hrs. We always play with her at night, but again we will try playing with her, she will take the ball chew it and then start licking... like shes more interested in the licking than the playing...
Do you take her on a couple of walks every day? Is she able to get exercise besides just playing with you? Playing and walking aren't quite the same for them. I think Bonny has a great point. If she isn't getting enough exercise that could definitely be a major point of stress for her. When I leave Theo home alone all day he's about ready to jump out of his skin by the time I see him.
