Just thought this would be a fun discussion.  Also a good opportunity for input.  I have read a lot on here about feeding your corgi carrots and green beans, but what other fruits/veggies are good for them?  Are there things they should definitely NOT eat?  We discovered yesterday that Frosty likes apple peels and raw potatoes (only let him have a very small amount of that cause its so starchy).  As a matter of fact, I don't think we've come across anything yet that Frosty won't eat.  What crazy things does your corgi eat and do you have any recommendations for healthy treats?  Frosty eats and eats and eats, but never gains weight.  He is always starving, so I'd like to give him healthy things so he doesn't turn into a chunky butt when his metabolism slows down.

I always think these discussions are ironic b/c I had a Sheltie growing up who would eat ANYTHING and since I was a kid, albeit a pretty smart, dog-crazy kid, I was SO ignorant in this area and I gave that dog SO many bad things. No wonder he was neurotic (besides his Sheltie-ness being stacked against him already). Apple cores, grapes, candy (ex: Gummi Bears), soda, milkshakes, whatever I was eating, I shared with him. Poor dog. I didn't know.
I am more than a bit concerned about putting in my garden this spring, with two omnivores on the premises. I've already put in nice organic soil with lots of organic fertilizer (read poop) and my poop eaters have been chowing down. Yuck.

When the veggies go in, I fear that the canines will be more of a problem than the bunnies. The bunnies are the problem they are supposed to take care of! Sigh.

My little one has crystals in her urine, and has a list of things she can't eat, even though she would love them. Among them are carrots, pumpkin, peas, tomatoes, peanut butter, and many other of her favorites. Very sad. She could eat oh so many good things, but they are forbidden.
We actually call Ed GOAT BOY....not kidding! He really got the name because of how his hind quarters look...like a goat I think, but they both love apple, carrots, strawberries. Be careful of the cocoa bean mulch all you gardeners....really bad for them!!!!!
I always give Faye raw scraps while I am cooking. She knows now that when I go in the kitchen she should stay close by so she sits on the sidelines and watches. Her favorite things include cabbage cores (but they make her fart), carrots, celery, lettuce, and fatty bits of meat. But my favorite thing by far to feed her is PARSLEY STEMS. I use the leafy parts when cooking and the leftover stems I save for Faye for training sessions. She will do anything for little balled up pieces of parsley and they make her breath smell so good :)
