Our female Molly has always had problems with loose stools when she gets really really upset. This is a problem because she has an X-fluffy butt. Today she was constipated. Part of the problem is her fluffy butt. It gets a little stuck on the fur underneath where you can't see and it piles up. Should we just get her bottom shaved? Any suggestions? Please help Molly!

Hi Renee, many things can prevent loose stool, good food, long walks promotes regular firm BM. Watch her on walks, make sure she doesn't lick or ingest anything by accident. If she's constantly having loose stool, her anal gland may also need to be expressed. If her poop butt is staining your baseboards, use packing tape to mask her usual spots, it'll make it easier for you to clean up.
Have you tried changing her food to see if that helped her tummy troubles at all? You can also try adding a tablespoon or two of pumpkin to her food to help firm up her stool. I would keep a box of unscented hypoallergenic baby wipes by your door (or wherever you take her out) and wipe her butt a bit every time she comes in to make sure nothing is stuck to the fur.
