So we just picked up our newest 8-week old addition three days ago. Genevieve is very small, not more than 3-4 pounds or so, and Beau is a large corgi for his age, he's around 28 pounds now (not fat-we run every day). Beau is trying to play with her, and we have supervised sessions, but when she's sleeping he comes up to her and licks her neck, ears, eyes and mouth. He gets really rough though, and she'll snap at him. He's trying to get to her now, I'm typing with one hand and holding him in the other! After I restrain him for a bit he'll go and lay down, but not too far and he always checks in every so often. It's just disconcerting, as she's very fragile right now. Has this happened to anyone before, or does anyone have any insight into his behavior?

Many adult dogs, especially males, are not real good at being gentle enough with puppies. In fact, quite a lot of adult dogs don't like puppies at all!
You'll probably just have to keep their time together closely monitored til she grows up a little bit.
No advice, but she is ADORABLE!!!!!
Some kids don't understand why their new baby brother or sister can't play with them on the day they are born. He is probably very curious about where she came from and why she doesn't want to play the way he does. Keep her guarded.
