Wow, that's interesting. I never would have thought about that. She has barked at nothing at the sliding glass door before... or at least I thought it was nothing. I will try closing the vertical blinds after dark (we always just leave them open this time of year). I'll see if that makes a difference. As far as reflections in the water dish, I highly doubt it. The lights are always off in that room, so there wouldn't be any sort of reflection. She loves playing in water, but for some reason she thinks she gets to play in her drinking water at night. I have no idea what that behavior is about. Thanks so much for your input Julia.

Abby does this too occasionally. She will bark and bark (sometimes sticking her head under a couch pillow while barking), leaping around, frapping and zooming around the room and onto and around the furniture, or laying on her side and doing whole body barks. Then she crashes. Its like a little kid that's really tired but resisting it, like you said. Too funny!
