Pem breeders in Edmonton, Alberta and surrounding area

My dad has fallen in LOVE with my Pembroke, He has recently decided to get a dog, as finally purchaced a house with a large yard for a dog, after being a renter his whole life. He has desided that a Pembroke Corgi is the right fit for his lifestyle and is the breed he would perfer, with another 2 breeds lined up. I was woundering if anyone knows of good Pem breeders in the Edmonton area, he considered the breeder where i got my Adora but would rather not travel that far. If so could you please send there information so we can see if they have the right pup for my dad. He is in no immediate hurry, if it means waiting a while for the right connection to the right pup, even if that means waiting a year or two he is fine with that.

Hey Kimberlie, have you talk to other members in your area?
South of the border, Teresa Blackstad in Sandpoint Idaho bred a couple of my neighbors' dogs.

Hi Kimberlie: here is the address of a lady I've been in touch with lately. Check out her website. There are also several other breeders close by including Lillemor in Sherwood Park. I will try to find those addresses for you.

btw; they only do about one litter a year and the pups are 1400.00 with a screening process, so if you're interested you should contact them soon. I believe she said a possible litter in the summer...maybe. Her corgi's are reds.
You could also look for rescue corgis. That's how I got my Autumn. That way you are paying a rescue to do more good work instead of paying a breeder for adding to an already staggering animal over population problem. :)
Here's a link to a corgi rescue group in Canada. http://corgi.rescueme.org/ca
I have also contacted the only rescue group nearby and right now she only has cardigans. Great idea though. Also, I noticed last week at the Edmonton Humane Society that there was one 3 year old corgi up for adoption. They identified him as a pembroke but he looked very much like a cardigan to me from the picture of him.
We looked at fred (i believe he was a cardigan as well) at the human society, but he just didn't have the right personality and connection for my dad, and we also looked at a pembroke sheparrd cross bit it was the same situation. He has looked into getting rescue and SPCA, but he isn't quite sure its the right choose for him being a first time dog owner. He would perfer to get a puppy and go through the training and imprinting and everything, rather than having to retrain, kick any bad habits, or unwanted behavior instilled by previouse home. Though he is not totaly abandoing the search in those areas, just unsure he will be able to find the right dog at a rescue or SPCA. So i told him i would help him with the breeder search, to see if that brings up that right dog/pup.
I see that Fred has been adopted from the Humane Society as has the other mix. Yes, I understand your dad's feelings. Dogs are a huge commitment at any stage.
I found several breeders via this link; use the the pull-down which says "Foreign Membership" by default (submit) the list will come up.

We got Casey (a Cardigan) from Fern Hunt, a Pembroke and Cardigan Breeder (and Alberta Corgi Rescue). She lives about an hour drive outside Edmonton in Wabamun (a 5 minute drive south of Highway 16 heading out towards Jasper).

She wasn't breeding Pembroke’s last summer when we got Casey from her, but she had mentioned that she might be getting back into it. Her email address is waibourne@hotmail.com.

We had a good experience with her as a breeder - she was very knowledgeable, helpful and offers lifetime support for her dogs. She also allowed us to visit the pups every week until we took her home.
